Since September 20, 2023, the flood situation in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province had been caused by the increased regulated release of water from the Chao Phraya Dam, approximately 600-1,800 cubic meters per second. This had affected residents living along the banks of the Chao Phraya River, the Noi River, and in low-lying areas outside the dikes, with inundation in the districts of Sena, Phak Hai, Bang Sai, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Bang Sai, and Bang Ban.
Since October 1, 2023, in Bang Ban district, the Noi River and various canals had overflowed their banks, affecting 14 subdistricts, and over 2,639 households. The provincial office, district offices, relevant agencies, local administrative organizations, foundations, and the private sector had already undertaken initial relief operations.
