On January 25, 2024, Mr. Bancha Techasakul, Vice President for Special Activities, Chulabhorn Research Institute, accompanied by Mr. Piboon Tivakornpanarai, Director of the Office of Special Activities, and a delegation conducted a site visit to follow up on the progress of the “Royal Initiative Project on the Research and Development of Industrial Scale Orchids” at Mae Hia Agricultural Training and Research Center, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province. Mr. Phongsak Puttatum, the Project’s official reported smooth progress of the Project in various areas. Later, the Vice President for Special Activities, Chulabhorn Research Institute, offered recommendations and operational guidelines, as well as moral support to the Project’s officials for further improvement in efficiency and effectiveness. Afterwards, the Vice President and his delegation visited the “Project on the Development and Compilation of the Genetics of Fragrant Woods for Research” in Mae Tha District, Lamphun Province. On this occasion, the delegation was briefed about the progress of the Project. During the visit, the Director of the Office of Special Activities and his delegation observed all ceramics production processes and checked the condition of the clay extruder to ensure the readiness for use. On January 12, 2024 at 11.30 a.m., acting under the Royal Command of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol, President of the Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI), Mr. Bancha Techasakul, Vice President for Special Activities of the CRI, presided over the ceremony at the 4th Development Division, Rattanapol Military Camp, Khlong Hoi Khong District, Songkhla Province, to present the Royally-granted items, which included consumer essentials such as jasmine rice, canned food, instant noodles, towels, common household medicines, and 2,000 sets of face masks, 1,000 sets each, to Chief Petty Officer Second Class Anan Bunsamran, Vice Governor of Yala Province, and Mr. Sangkom Kerdkor, Deputy Governor of Narathiwat Province, for onward transmission to flood victims in the regions of Yala and Narathiwat Provinces.
