Dr. Aurapat Ngamnithiporn, Research Scientist I, Laboratory of Medicinal Chemistry, Chulabhorn Research Institute was awarded the 30th Science & Technology Research Grant for the research project on “Development of a Sustainable Preparation of Biologically Active N-Heterocycles” from Thailand Toray Science Foundation (TTSF). The awards ceremony was held on March 8, 2024 at Crystal Hall, The Athenee Hotel, Bangkok.
This grant aims to support researchers who are working on or about to work on a research project that will enhance the development of science and technology in Thailand in four research areas namely, agriculture & biology, physics, chemistry, and engineering.

On April 22, 2023 at 09:00 a.m., by Royal Command of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol, President of the Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI), Mr. Surapit Kirtiputra, Vice President for International Relations of the CRI, presided over the opening ceremony of the Project on Integrated Training for Knowledge Dissemination and Technology Transfer on the Management of Rabies to Communities, under the strategic plan of the operation of HRH Princess Chulabhorn’s project on “Disease-free Animals, Safe Humans from Rabies”, at Classic Kameo Hotel, Pailing Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The Project was a collaboration between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Education, Kasetsart University. The training aims to disseminate the information on the progress of the Project, as well as related laws and regulations, and provide a forum for exchange of learning, including academic knowledge and practical experiences, human and animal health, and efficient management of rabies in communities, by raising awareness of the methods to sustainably prevent the spread of rabies. The activities under the training comprised lectures to transfer academic knowledge, as well as training and exercise on the use of applications to prevent rabies in schools and communities. On August 24, 2024 at Kaewsamui Resort, Surat Thani Province, by Royal Command of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol, President of the Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI), Lieutenant Chawat Arthayukti, Vice President for International Relations of the CRI, presided over the opening ceremony of the Training Project for Knowledge Dissemination and Technology Transfer on the Management of Rabie to Communities, under the strategy of the operation of HRH Princess Chulabhorn’s project on “Disease-free Animals, Safe Humans from Rabies”. The Project aims to promote network engagement in the operation, surveillance, prevention, and control of rabies, as well as systematic and efficient management of animal population in communities. The training was conducted in collaboration between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Education, Kasetsart University, as well as other relevant agencies, to develop and establish a network to prevent and control rabies in communities through various learning promotion activities, such as academic lectures, a workshop on using applications, demonstrations of first aid procedures, knowledge transfer on rabies using a Q&A game, as well as knowledge on legal provisions related to the prevention and control of rabies.
