Dr. Kwanrawee Sirikanchana Attended a Meeting on the Study and Analysis of the Risk of Antimicrobial Resistance in Hospital Wastewater Treatment System Impacting People’s Health, Organized by the Bureau of Environmental Health
Dr. Kwanrawee Sirikanchana, Research Scientist II at the Laboratory of Biotechnology, Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI), attended a meeting on the study and analysis of the risk of antimicrobial resistance in hospital wastewater treatment system impacting people’s health, organized by the Bureau of Environmental Health, Department of Health, on June 12, 2024. The study findings constituted part of academic services projects provided by the Laboratory of Biotechnology of the CRI.
During the meeting, a representative from the Bureau of Environmental Health, gave a lecture on “Research project to evaluate the readiness of the public health sector in developing the prototype of the management of antimicrobial resistance in hospital wastewater treatment system”. Moreover, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thammanitchpol Denpetkul, lecturer from the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, and co-researcher of the Laboratory of Biotechnology’s academic service project, gave a lecture on the study findings of the project titled “Study and analysis of the risk of antimicrobial resistance in hospital wastewater treatment system impacting people’s health”.
